Block Printing for Fabric - LAST CHANCE

Yes! Our super popular block-printing workshop is back!

In this fun, inspiring workshop we’ll teach a range of techniques that will have you printing your own fabric like a pro! From vegetables to rubber blocks you’ll learn carving techniques and simple print repeat pattern systems – all you need to start getting your original designs onto fabric.

Experiment with coloured inks and fabrics, explore pattern repeats with our block shapes and motifs, and carve your own designs to make your own drawstring backpack and 2 large cotton furoshiki's  (japanese gift wrapping cloth).

All supplies and delicious morning tea included.

Students are welcome to bring their own fabric samples (cotton/linen) or small items (e.g.t-shirt/tea-towel/ pillowcase) for experimenting and enthusiastic crafters can purchase additional fabric and backpacks on the day.

Participants will also receive a copy of the Print chapter from our book The Craft Companion to take home. BONUS!

Class is limited to 8 students (16 years and over), no previous experience necessary.

A minimum of 6 students is required for the workshop to go ahead.
