Introduction to Natural Dyeing - SOLD OUT

Come and learn how to turn everyday foods into brilliant eco friendly dyes for fabric and yarn. In this fun and inspiring workshop we'll reveal some of our favourite dye recipes, teach you a range of simple Shibori techniques, and demonstrate the magic of mordants to change dye colours right before your eyes. This workshop is perfect for beginners or more experienced textilers looking to add to their skills.  

Students are welcome to bring additional fabrics (silk/wool/cotton) or wool yarn hanks for experimenting and enthusiastic crafters will be able to purchase additional silk wraps on the day. 

Price includes: a variety of fabrics for sampling, 2 x 70x70cm silk wraps, and a delicious morning tea.

Participants will also take home a copy of the Dye chapter from our book The Craft Companion covering additional dyeing recipes, techniques and a t-shirt project to inspire future craft adventures. BONUS!

Class is limited to 8 students (16 years and over),

A minimum of 6 students is required for the workshop to go ahead.
